Riopaila Castilla delivers 20 thousand liters of alcohol to the mayor of Santiago de Cali
Riopaila Castilla has donated 180,000 liters of alcohol to prisons, hospitals, relief agencies, peasants, small farmers, cane suppliers, workers and merchants in Valle del Cauca, Caldas, Quindío, Risaralda and Cundinamarca.
The Riopaila Castilla agro-industrial group delivers 20,000 liters of alcohol to the Cali Municipal Mayor's Office to attend to the health emergency that the Valle del Cauca capital is experiencing due to COVID-19. The final destination of the donation is medical and hospital centers, prisons and vulnerable communities on the slopes of the city, according to information provided by the Mayor of Cali, Jorge Ivan Ospina.
The donation is the product of an alliance with Plasticel and Coltanques, strategic suppliers of the agro-industrial company. According to Pedro Cardona, president of the Riopaila Castilla Group “Today more than ever we must act with solidarity, this is the position of the company and its shareholders; That is why in Riopaila Castilla we have made all our efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Among the decisions made is to provide the country with alcohol, to the extent of our possibilities, which leaves us with donations to various regions of Colombia that exceed 180,000 liters of alcohol, of which we are delivering 20,000 liters to the Municipal Administration. from Santiago de Cali.
The bet of the Valle del Cauca company with more than 100 years of experience in the production of sugar, honey, alcohol, energy and biofuels, is to be part of the solution, for this reason, this week it also donated more than 50 thousand units of bioprotection elements to various medical centers in Valle del Cauca. Not to mention the work that the Caicedo González Riopaila Castilla Foundation has been leading in the municipalities where it operates, which includes educational campaigns against domestic and gender violence, prevention of COVID-19, leisure management, food aid for the rural population. , among others.
