Cali, May 23, 2023. – The Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group, as part of its commitment to Colombia since 1918, joined the care of the vulnerable population in Valle del Cauca and northern Cauca, supporting on this occasion the Cali Food Bank, with the delivery of 10 tons of sugar.

At the Planta Castilla facilities, in Pradera, Valle del Cauca, the delivery of this food was carried out, which will be included in the comprehensive basic basket that the Cali Food Bank grants biweekly to 336 foundations linked to this entity. These organizations serve children, older adults, community kitchens, young people in rehabilitation, among others.

In total, there will be more than 32,000 people who will receive this food aid along with other products from the family basket such as rice, oil, grains, among others, which make up the basic package that the entity delivers to organizations as support for feeding their families. beneficiaries.

“We made this delivery in response to a call made by the Food Bank through Asocaña to the mills in the region so that we could make a contribution to the care of the vulnerable population in both Valle del Cauca and northern Cauca. Many of these foundations are located in some of our areas of operation, which is why it is so important for us to link ourselves to this cause with which we have honored our commitment since 1918,” said Guillermo Carvajal Ramírez, Corporate Affairs Manager of Riopaila Castilla.
