Riopaila Castilla brought together more than 400 of its suppliers of goods, works and services in the second version of Rioaliados

    local shopping.
     During the Second Annual Meeting of Productive Allies, Rioaliados, Supply System
    Responsible and Sustainable, Riopaila Castilla reiterated its commitment to business development and strengthening
    of suppliers in general, especially local ones.
     More than 70% of the income generated by Riopaila Castilla is distributed in its supply chain.

Cali, October 2023- With the presence of more than 400 suppliers of goods, works and services that are part of the supply chain of the Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group, the Second Annual Meeting of Productive Allies, Rioaliados, was held, in which the commitment to development was ratified. of Colombia, a commitment since 1918, with a commitment to economic development through purchases in Colombia, especially from suppliers in the area of influence that generate employment, social investment and environmental commitments.

During the event, which took place at the Valle del Pacífico Events Center in Cali, the company revealed that between January and September 2023 it allocated $84,000 million to payments for local purchases made to suppliers of goods, works and services located in municipalities such as Palmira, Florida, Roldanillo, Candelaria, Pradera, Zarzal and Andalucía, in Valle del Cauca; and towns in northern Cauca such as Corinto and Puerto Tejada.

Of the 1,300 productive allies that the company has linked to its supply chain, there are at least 200 entrepreneurs, many of them small and medium-sized located in its areas of direct operation, who received these resources, as part of 'Rioaliados', strategy of the company that consolidates a supply system in a responsible and sustainable manner, created with the objective of promoting a sustainable and responsible supply chain, which promotes the progress and development of productive allies linked to the business, especially those who reside in the municipalities of direct operation. As part of this interest, there are four axes of work: communication and relationships, strengthening of skills, processes and sustainability.

The Corporate Affairs Manager of the Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group, Guillermo Carvajal, recalled that more than 70% of the company's supply chain is made up of local suppliers. “We prioritize the purchase of products and services from entrepreneurs located in our areas of operation, in such a way that we not only strengthen our supply chain and generate economic development, but we also allow them to be incorporated into other supply links and/or their foray into other markets,” he mentioned within the framework of this event.

Carvajal also announced that in this second half of the year a new cycle of training in business strengthening for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the region began, thanks to important alliances with entities such as the Chambers of Commerce of Tuluá and Palmira. “We had a first group of 20 entrepreneurs trained in topics related to strengthening the productivity and sustainability of their businesses in 2022. In this new cycle, we have 35 small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the training process and we hope that both they and their workers "They can make the most of this knowledge that we provide as part of our contribution to the competitiveness and employability of the region," explained Guillermo Carvajal.

At the Second Annual Meeting of Productive Allies, Rioaliados, Responsible and Sustainable Supply System, the Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group presented 14 awards to the same number of companies in the country for their excellence, permanence and innovation in this supply chain, one of the most largest in Colombia and that generates more than 54 thousand indirect jobs.

Within the framework of this event, details about the company's business strategy, financial results and bets for 2023-2025 were presented. Likewise, talks were held to develop skills and competencies among attendees, not to mention the presentation of the new platform for managing requirements and monitoring payments, goods, works and services.
