The Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group deeply regrets the violent acts that occurred on Monday, February 6 in Padilla, Cauca, which resulted in the loss of life of two workers in the sugarcane agroindustrial sector, in addition to two people with serious injuries and one missing. Riopaila Castilla condemns this attack on workers in the sector and expresses its solidarity with the affected families.

We ask the corresponding authorities to investigate this event quickly and objectively, in order to protect human rights and guarantee respect for life. We call for the protection of workers, families and private property, the bases of the country's development, and we demand adequate security conditions so that the agroindustrial sector can continue generating value for communities and their inhabitants.
