With 29 years of experience in the sugar cane agroindustrial sector, Luisa Benedicta Barona González is the first woman to occupy the Operations Management, leading the processes of cane supply, harvest, factory and distillery within one of the plants of the Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group, located in Zarzal, Valle del Cauca.

Since 2020, the company has been affiliated with the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles, as the first company in the sector to belong to this community.
