The Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group brought Sweet Christmas to the communities in its areas of influence
Between December 12 and 20, the Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group carried out its usual Christmas gift delivery at its Sweet Christmas RioCas 2019, to boys and girls from 0 to 10 years of age, from the communities in their areas of influence, in order to share moments of joy with them during this holiday season.
Through Sweet Christmas RioCas 2019, approximately 4,000 gifts were delivered, reaching 16 communities in the municipalities of Bolívar, Bugalagrande, La Unión, La Victoria, Obando, Roldanillo, Tuluá and Zarzal in the north of the Valley; 26 communities from the municipalities of Candelaria, Florida, Jamundí, Palmira and Pradera in the south of the Valley; and 46 communities from the municipalities of Corinto, Guachené, Miranda and Padilla in northern Cauca; for a total of 88 communities between villages and districts of these municipalities.
During some of these days, there was the opportunity to carry out integration activities with the children and their parents, and likewise, share with community leaders and listen to their views on this initiative carried out by the company.
On the one hand, Gustavo Amaya Moreno, Vice President of the Community Action Board of the La Gertrudis sector, Corregimiento El Overo (Bugalagrande), thanked the company, stating that: “These types of activities are of great importance to us, thanks to Riopaila Castilla for taking us into account as part of their community and as a sector of influence, and for providing these spaces and the opportunity for children to receive a gift every year”.
Similarly, Jaime Alzate, President of the Community Action Board of the village of San Antonio (Bugalagrande), left a message of thanks to the company for the great contributions they have made to the village, and for the work they have done together with the children.
In turn, Sandra Girón, President of the Community Action Board of the village of La Holanda, Padilla (Cauca) stated that: “This activity seemed excellent to me because this time they shared with the children, with us too, and it was something wonderful, really a very nice experience. We hope they continue like this, because the relationship between the Board, the community and the company has been very important”.
This is how, year after year, the Riopaila Castilla Agroindustrial Group will continue to fill the children of the communities in its areas of influence with smiles, as part of the company's commitment to adopt practices to generate shared value for its groups of interest, in this case, to their communities.
